What we say and do as leaders needs to be “a demonstration of the Spirit’s power” so that the church’s “faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power” (1 Cor. 2:4-5). We serve as conduits through whom the Spirit works. We need the Holy Spirit to work in and through us as well as in the lives of those we serve. These resources can serve as reminders of our critical need to walk in the Spirit in all we do.

Leaders, pull on the Spirit’s power in your own ministry but also help others in the Body to do the same. No matter how we serve, we can do nothing of eternal value apart from the Lord (Jn. 15:5). Order the Steering the Church Toward God’s Power Leadership Guide for how to provide an example, guiding other’s toward God as their source of power. In addition to a look at the Holy Spirit, this resource also considers eight other sources of power.
